Pastoral Staff

Pastor Steve is a native of Dayton, OH. He came to know Christ at the age of 5 years old. During his teen years, he felt called to preach and to work with youth. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Crown College in Powell, TN, and, following college, he served for 10 years as a youth pastor in Thompson, CT. In September of 2020, he accepted the call to become youth pastor and assistant pastor of the church. Stephen has been heavily involved in public school outreach, as he has a burden for getting the gospel where the people are. The Lord led him and the church to start the LifeWise ministry in our community, which teaches the Bible to over 150 students in 3 local schools weekly. The church voted unanimously to extend the call of the Senior Pastorate to Stephen in July of 2024. We are excited to see what the Lord will do in the days ahead!

Pastor Scott is the founding pastor of Providence Baptist Church. He is a native of Newport and Cocke County. He came to know Christ as a young adult, and his life has never been the same. Pastor Scott obtained graduate degrees from Hyles Anderson College, and he went on to serve in ministries in Michigan and Tennessee. Pastor Scott faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of the church from its inception until June of 2024, when he announced his retirement. He is serving and will continue to serve actively as a pastor in the church, and his focus will be on outreach and visitation, which he is very passionate about.  

Pastor Jacob came to join us in September of 2024. He has a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies, and he has served in a number of churches in various capacities. He originally hails from Florida, but has called Tennessee home for the past 5 years. He and his wife, Danielle, do a great job working with our teenagers. Jacob maintains a great balance between devotional truth and fun fellowship.
