Pastoral Staff

Pastor Scott is the founding pastor of Providence Baptist Church. He is a native of Newport and Cocke County. He came to know Christ as a young adult, and his life has never been the same. Pastor Scott obtained graduate degrees from Hyles Anderson College, and he went on to serve in ministries in Michigan and Tennessee. He's known for his folksy demeanor and sharp wit, but he is also a student of the Bible, who wants to helps other in their walk with the Lord.

Pastor Steve is a native of Dayton, OH. He came to Christ at the age of 5 years old. During his teen years, he felt called to preach and to work with youth. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Crown College in Powell, TN. He previously served for 10 years as a youth pastor in Thompson, CT, but he and his family joined us in September of 2020. His love for the Lord and desire to see teens and families grow in their faith is a blessing and encouragement.
